Resumen

Escoamentos com singularidades geométricas como a expansão abrupta e o cross-slot, por exem- plo, apresentam dificuldades no cálculo do tensor polimérico nas proximidades dessas singularidades (ou quinas) justamente pela mudança repentina nas condições de contorno. Assim, Renardy [10] propôs a Formulação Natural do Tensor (NSF - Natural Stress Formulation), com o objetivo de evitar tais instabilidades, ao representar o tensor numa base natural alinhada às linhas de cor- rente do escoamento para o caso estacionário.  [...]
